LOSE YOUR PET? DON’T WORRY, IN OSCEOLA COUNTY, YOUR PET'S GOT A TICKET TO RIDE!
As a one-time courtesy, Osceola County Animal Services is proud to announce a new program, FREE RIDE HOME!
Any dog or cat that is found running loose, but is wearing a current Osceola County license tag, will be delivered to the owner by the Animal Control Officer, if the owner can be reached. In situations where the owner cannot be reached, the pet will be brought to the animal shelter. Owners who reclaim their pets within 24 hours of impoundment will only be charged half the usual fees.
This new program does not apply in bite situations, repeat offenses by the same owner, or in situations where public safety is compromised. If your pet does get away, both you and your pet win if you make sure an Osceola County license tag is worn at all times.
Remember, pets will get one free ride on us as long as they are properly licensed!
For more information about pet licensing, please contact Osceola County Animal Services at 407-742-8000.
