Charlie McKinney is President of Sophia Institute Press, which publishes and distributes faithful
Catholic classics and new texts by the enduring figures of the Catholic intellectual tradition. The
Press also owns and operates two popular Catholic web sites: CrisisMagazine.com and
CatholicExchange.com. Both sites offer reliably Catholic commentaries, online devotions,
and other spiritual and practical resources on a daily basis.
Charlie has worked in the non-profit sector for nearly 15 years, serving most recently as Vice
President at the Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in Merrimack, New Hampshire, where
he oversaw marketing, fundraising, admissions, and communications. He has also served in
leadership positions at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (Wilmington, DE) and at the Bill of
Rights Institute (Washington, DC). He is currently Chairman of the Board of Cornerstone Policy
Research, a New Hampshire think tank dedicated to preserving traditional values and limited
Charlie and his wife, Carolyn, converted to the Roman Catholic Faith in 2008. They have four
children and live in Amherst, New Hampshire.
