KOKRAJHAR AND CHIRANG DISTRICTS: Tensions between the Bodo tribe and Muslims in India’s Assam state have once again erupted into violence with at least ten reported murders this month.
These attacks come just three months after ethnic clashes spilled over into a national crisis. Almost a hundred people were killed and some 400,000 villagers displaced from their homes.
With 40,000 mostly Muslim villagers still living in relief camps, many fear a new conflict. A warning to viewers, this story contains disturbing footage.
