The Epilepsy Centre has been the leading provider of epilepsy services in South Australia and the Northern Territory since 1976. We are committed to providing high quality, caring services to people living with epilepsy and improving community awareness and attitudes throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory.
The Epilepsy Centre has been assisting South Australian and Northern Territorian families touched by epilepsy. Services include education, counselling, information services, children’s and family support programs, specialised training programs, support groups and advocacy.
Our hope is that all Australians living with epilepsy, as well as the medical profession, allied health workers, principals, teachers, employers and the wider community will find this website to be an informative and valuable resource in their daily lives. The Epilepsy Centre is dedicated to providing high quality information, advice, support, training, counselling and practical assistance and advocacy on behalf of people with epilepsy. We work to raise awareness of epilepsy in the community to reduce the stigma and create a more welcoming and inclusive society.
The Epilepsy Centre receives no government funding and is largely funded from private sources, mainly philanthropic donations. If you would like to help you can donate or you can support our work in other ways.
This short film shows the fun had by the crowd which gathered in Elder Park on March 24th 2013 for Purple Day - A Walk in the Park - as we undertook a 2km walk to raise awareness of the centre and it's work.
