Searching For The Wrong Eyed Jesus is a film about the American South by Director Andrew Douglas that has been described as somewhere between a documentary, a musical and something altogether stranger.
As such it was a challenge for anyone to cut a conventional trailer for such a strange film without leading the audience into false expectations. I treated the trailer as a mood piece, almost like a commercial for a dream. The result was a trailer that managed to capture the strange atmosphere of this film without jarring the audience with unconventional structures.
