This video was created for my Advertising Design class, specifically to advertise for Crayola. As a group of three, we had to create a 15 second video as well as a 30 second video to act together to create a commercial campaign. This video is a stop motion video, using tagboard, color pencils-none other than Crayola, and buildings and other objects about an inch or so tall to create a mini "whatever you want to be" type of world. This campaign was geared towards younger kids encouraging them to be creative and giving them the freedom to create their own worlds, which inspired our tagline.
Being that I was the only one with a background in video and stop motion, I sort of took on the director role. Kirsten and Brianna were GREAT group members in always being available and eager to make this project a success. Kirsten and Brianna created everything you see, and we used Brianna's Canon DSLR to shoot each photo. My role was to organize the cut outs into the perfect environment, edit the images and create the video with added music. As a group, we crushed this project, and our professor was very pleased with our solution to this design problem. He now shows this video in his portfolio to display projects from the student's he's taught.
