This is a mantra to call in your higher self. First you have to learn it. That takes some mental gymnastics, focus and concentration. I like to look at the words as connected to the energy centers in the body. SI is the two highest chakras ,inner eye and crown, and they are both linked to the higher self. VA is the center of expression, communication, and the aetheric, focused at the throat chakra. Ya is like yes, it is an expression of very positive energy, and corresponds to the heart. NA is the power center, focus of identity.. MA connects to the earthly self, it is the two lowest chakras, sex and root chakras. When you say or sing the mantra look to put your attention to the chakra area of the sound you are saying. Notice how as the mantra progresses there are certain flows or movements of energies. You may notice some patterns, for example YA-NA is always given in that order, and is in each line of the mantra. it's like a dance, moving energies in a certain way. The words of the entire mantra are as follows: OM sivayanama yanavasima, mavayanasi, siyanamava, vasimayana OM.. Om is always at the beginning and end of the series.
The legend behind this is that it was given by the ascended masters, or Babaji, one who resides in an eternal state of being somewhere in the Himalayas. I just like the mantra, find it to be calming and centering, and I created the music to go with it using my singing bowls and harps. In general I just went for putting the higher centers with the higher notes, ma is the low sound. However this did not follow perfectly, there is some variation. To me bottom line this is an art piece, I am just an artist, having some fun with sounds, colors, making my kind of magic, so don't get too overly serious about it all, just enjoy it. I played with some wild looking fractals images. and I have names for some of them. Come along and do a visual dance with Photon Master, Frogman and Indian Dancer Watch as moires shimmer and see how colors merge and blend, saturation and after images create levels that do not otherwise exist.
One more thing about this piece. I first created it in 2010, but have re-worked the visuals extensively, keeping the same music track intact. The 2010 version was posted on youtube, and still is on there.
