BACKGROUND /
weareseventeen showcase their distinctive style of motion graphics with the latest Easter themed on-air identity for BT. We are invited to provide music and sound design for the directors cut.

APPROACH /
Much like the previous year, BT opted for a traditional animation technique that depicts a carved wooden automaton. We wanted to convey a sense of imperfection in the sound design so the viewer can hear the loose construction of the wooden toy and envision the interaction of each mechanical part.

Music comes in the form of a simple piano melody that emulates traditional wind-up music boxes. This unadorned approach seemed to complement the basic nature of the materials in play.
