On the 29th of September 2012, Aleka and Vasilis had invited their friends and families, both from Piraeus, Greece, to celebrate their wedding in and around Porto Heli. They were accommodated at the Cosmos Hotel, its laid-back retro atmosphere lovingly preserved since the 1970s, where the reception and party also took place. Keeping their wedding simple and personal, both bride and groom got ready at their beautiful summer house, where Aleka would be at the top of one flight of stairs and Vasilis at the other side in the house's mirrored layout.
For the ceremony they chose the nearby chapel of Agios Emilianos, perched perfectly on a small hill surrounded by the Myrtoan Sea, at the exact hour the sun set behind them and the full moon rose in front.
