Being told you have two months to live might just be the most soul crushing news one could receive, but for Richard Orlowski it’s a chance to define odds and ‘terminate the terminal.’
This short film tells the story of a day in the life of a cancer warrior.
Being diagnosed with esophageal cancer in April 2012, it rapidly spread to his lymph nodes and liver deeming Richard terminal. Not wanting to succumb to the devastating side effects of traditional medicine, other alternatives have been sourced. Days are spent embracing a lifestyle of wholesome produce rich in nutrients, juiced fruit and vegetables daily, alongside natural supplements aimed at attacking the cancer ravaging his body. Further immersing himself in his musical talent allows a positive outlet and a means to engage with his supporters.
Richard wants to show fellow cancer sufferers his daily fight, where he lets his own faith overcome his fear of death. Forgetting hope and focusing on faith he uses this mindset to help his internal system overwhelm, control and contain the cancer. He does this by attaining a positive mental attitude, instilling emotional stability, physical ability and a strong spirit of love for not only himself but the world around him.
Narrated by Richard, this story takes the viewer on a journey on a typical day of juicing, music and a public campaign to rid the cancer in his body.
