So a BNI member has just invited you to substitute at their chapter. What exactly does that mean?
Well, at every BNI meeting, each member stands in turn to deliver a one-minute speech about their business in order to help other members find referrals for them.
When you’re a substitute, you’ll be representing the person during the meeting; when it’s your turn to speak, you’ll talk about their business.
Relax, don’t be nervous. You’ll be provided with a short script and all you’ll need to do is read it out. It’s that simple!
When visiting a BNI chapter as a sub, you’ll be able to see how BNI operates. Oh yeah – your meal is paid for as well!
Though you won’t stand-up to talk about your own business this time, you’ll have the opportunity to network with the chapter members before and after the meeting.
Also, you’ll be able to come back the following week as a guest, when you’ll get to just talk about yourself.
Now go and RSVP your invitation to substitute so you can discover how BNI can help your business like it has helped so many others.
