38 horses have died during the three-day Aintree meeting since 2000. Despite making several changes to the course the League would like to see animal welfare become the priority over the 'character of the race'. Until welfare is the priority, the League is calling on people not to bet on the race and let organisers know their views.
We asked members of the public if they'll be betting on the Grand National, here's what they had to say. If you want to add your voice to our campaign please visit league.org.uk/GrandNational
