This is a presentation that Victor Montori, MD, gave at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota on August 2009 as part of a research community celebration. The presentation focuses on the work that patients with multiple chronic conditions need to do in order to make their complex treatment programs work. It also calls clinicians to work on designing programs that fit with patients' lives and goals. This is referred as minimally disruptive medicine. A blog with these ideas can be found at minimallydisruptivemedicine.org
