Created by local Williamson Community Members, the Lunch Walk Program works as a vehicle to ignite and create a healthy community by simply getting people walking! Our hope is to encourage community health and wellness through this competitive approach to exercise.
Recently, Williamson got connected with a community in Marin City, California, who started their own Lunch Walk Program. And here's the fun part. As participants in Williamson walk to Marin City, their community is walking to us!
This created an exciting new idea. Seeing the potential effect that this program could have on the health of communities throughout the nation, we now want to encourage other communities to join with us, start a Lunch Walk Program in their community, and get walking!
Join us and start a Lunch Walk Program in your community, and lets create a healthier world together.
