Apparent tranquility : a world in movement
Being able to close our eyes and imagine we are on a journey. Resignation, caught in the fall, the limit: Opening paths, moving stones. Fleeing forwards moved by impulse or necessity, towards absolute persuasion.
While looking at the Iguazú River I imagine those countless paths which come together from different starting points taking with them earth and merging into one. There are currents which lift, carry and drag while remaining unseen. Once on the edge, the limit, they surrender to the fall which takes over, not once making it known what the next destination will be; to stagnate, open paths or move stones.
This choreographic tale is dedicated to all those of us who have ever found themselves unwillingly dragged away towards the vertiginous vacuum by that huge body of water and at that critical moment were able to just shut our eyes and imagine we are travelling to our very own Puerto Iguazú.
