A great day flying at the cannon on Red Hill in Simons Town, South Africa.
This was the first time I had flown from here and hope to do a lot more flying there in the future. Normally we fly at the front of the slope which is a 15min hike down. Being lazy we decided to just fly from the cannon where we park our cars. Apparently landing is tricky at this spot. But Kevin was confident I could do it as I had maidened my Vector the week before at Kommetjie which was probably a harder slope to land on. This only being my second flight with my new Vector III I was abit nervous. I also had to launch on my own and any of you Vector owners know this is not a simple task.
Launch was flawless and the lift was insane on the day. We managed to get really high for our speed runs back to the cannon. This is some of the footage captured.
