The Gospel Coalition New England exists to establish the centrality of the gospel as the basis for developing a gospel culture worldview in renewing every dimension of an individual's life { spiritual, social. theological, church life, ministerial, psychological, corporate, and professional } so that individuals would be able to think, act, and live in line with the truth of the gospel (Gal 2:14).
In March of 2012, the New England regional chapter of The Gospel Coalition launched with what was then called a “Pastors’ Colloquium.” 70 leaders gathered to consider what God may be doing on a larger scale in the gospel-centered churches of New England.
In October 2012 over 1300 New England Christians gathered for the very first Gospel Coalition Conference, with John Piper, D.A. Carson, Tim Keller and others.
Then on March 23 this year TGC-minded leaders gathered for the TGCNE Leadership Summit—the successor to 2012’s Pastors’ Colloquium. The event was a venue for prayer, mutual encouragement, networking, and sharpening in the gospel. Attendees enjoyed a meal and discussion with other leaders from their region. Brief presentations and a panel discussion provided an opportunity to hear from other New England pastors & lay leaders seeking to faithfully preach and apply the gospel in their local context. In lieu of Pastor Danny not being able to attend, he asked Marilyn Crosby, Martha Kelleher and Darren Lavallee to represent the First Church of Christ -Bradford.
