It rained 'cats and dogs' the day before, and most of the night. The track remained wet most of the day, and by the time our qualifying round began at 4:00pm, it was still a guess as to run WET or DRY tires.
I guessed DRY, and qualified 14th/25 on grid. I quickly changed my tires to WET for the race, and had DRY tires in the pit in case track conditions had changed.
As usual, turn ONE is a bit chaotic, but my START was poor . . . and the field seemed to be getting away from me from the start. Things opened up for me right away, and the first FULL lap was very good. I moved from 14th to 4th in 2-laps, and held that position for most of the race.
I lose a position to Mike Brinatti with 3-laps to go while exiting PIT lane, and finish 6th after the 1-HOUR ENDURO is completed.
