Inspired by the global hackerspace movement, hackerspace-in-a-box is a classroom experiment initiated by Sparkling Science with the goal of infusing hackerspace tools and values into the school curriculum. The Mission Beacon in San Francisco got a special visit from HackerSpace In a Box. The youth were able to experiment with and learn about electrical circuits and creative ways of interacting with computers in San Francisco's very first HackerSpace Noisebridge.
HackerSpaces are open learning environments formed around peer to peer learning and collaboration. They are places where you can learn to do, and teach others, just about anything.
