This presentation includes the history and evolution of fish passage, including an overview of the channel incision syndrome, channel and stream evolutionary models (CEM and SEM), identifying and characterizing channel incision (versus local scour/aggradation), conducting an incision risk assessment, and contemporary approaches to address incision and fish passage. The presentation will conclude with a walk-through of the "fish passage toolbox."
