This ceremony was held on April 6, 2013 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the passing of Charlie Shaw, goalkeeper for the Glasgow Celtic from 1913-1925. Celtic Supporters Clubs from around New York joined members of Charlie's family at his gravesite in Fort Lee, NJ for speeches and a blessing. We heard from Brian McIntyre of the NY Celtic Supporters Club, Chas Duffy of the Bronx Bhoys, Brendan Cahill (Charlie's great-grandson), Brian Wilson (Director of the Celtic FC) and Monsignor Peter Smith, formerly of St. Mary's Parish in Glasgow.
Following the video of the ceremony, keep watching for some thoughts on Charlie and the Celtic by Brian Wilson, Brian McIntyre and Paul Hendry, also of the NY Celtic Supporters Club.
