Laura Micham, Merle Hoffman Director, Sallie Bingham Center for Women’s History and Culture, Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Duke University, and Jeff Garrett, Associate University Librarian for Special Libraries & Director of Special Collections and Archives at Northwestern University Library, discus their involvement with the creation of "Independent Voices." The speakers describe the content of the collection, but also the new business model used to support the production costs, benefits to sponsoring libraries, and the value of open access collections.
