Montage of clips from my performance piece entitled, Double Song, which was part of The Standard For Spring performance art and video festival which took place on 5/19/12, and was curated by Tara Raye Russo and Jeanne Brasile. In the Double Song performance I employed the method of communication used by the Occupy Movement members for verbally transmitting speech to a large crowd called "the human microphone" whereby a main speaker dictates speech to a crowd and the crowd repeats line after line to amplify the message. For the performance I fabricated a copy of a dress from the 1966 Jean Luc-Goddard film, "Made In U.S.A." and dressed myself as the character Paula Nelson played by Anna Karina in the film. During the performance I sang "As Tears Go By," written by the Rolling Stones, to a crowd of strangers and had them sing it back to me in the amphitheater at Highline Park in Chelsea, NYC.
