This is a demonstration of Emergency Services in action.
Part of a display held by Baulkham Hills Council on Australia Day 26 Jan 2008.
My son Braden is one of the 'ambos' (he's the one trying to hide the smile), so he obviously features in the edit.
I shot this scene, totally unrehearsed, basic point and shoot.
It's also my first shooting experience with the Sony XDCAM EX1, and I was a bit 'all fingers' with the controls. That aside, I'm very impressed with the camera and the HD 1920 x 1080 images - simply amazing.
Some obvious lessons - focus is oh so critical for HD, I also tended to overexpose, on reflection, the car was in dapple light and through most of the b/g overexposed.
Also very impressed with our local emergency services - great teamwork!
Format: EX1 1920x1080
Edit: FCP, MB fx, some reframing on the b/w shots.
