First time lapse of day 1 of the onsite installation of the Tree of Life, a large-scale acrylic sculpture that will be permanently installed at Toronto's waterfront.
The Tree was designed by Luigi Ferrara, architect and director of the Institute without Boundaries. Conceptual rendering by Juan Camacho and iconography by Dyan Buerano.
Kal Mansur Studios was commissioned to engineer, execute, and make the tree come to life.
Dimensions are roughly 9 feet wide and 9 feet tall. The sculpture consists of 184 compound rhombused boxes with etched and hand-painted symbols demonstrating the evolution of the health sciences through a table of elements.
