After an up and down few weeks FC fans should really have expected the relegated Eastwood to prove to be trickier than their league position belied. With little reward for either side until Jack Green opened for the Badgers the game then picked up more pace. Just on the stroke of half-time, a nice move by United was finished off with Oliver Banks' well taken equaliser to even up the match. Minutes after the restart an innocuous-looking cross was deftly knocked into FC's net by Dean Stott to give the home side an undeserved lead. They never threatened again and if not for the majority of shots going directly at the keeper the Reds should have gotten more out of the game. Tom Greaves came to the rescue in the dying minutes with a hard-fought run down the wing and a pinpoint shot beating their goalie at his near post, sending the 400-plus visitors into raptures.
