When I decided to make a portrait of Luca, I wanted to make something more than a conventional drawing.
This is the reason why I started drawing him, dot by dot - in so-called "stippling" technique.
What came out was an 80000-dot-piece. It took me over 6 and a half hours from the first to the last dot.

The number of dots was estimated as exactly as possible. I did it this way:
I stopped the time in which I was stippling and kept doing it at a mostly steady speed of 4.25 dots per second. In the later stages of drawing, I was slower. I rounded off the result a bit because sometimes I had to stop for a few seconds.
