WarDrums is a commentary on the rhetoric that President George Bush used in the reasoning to go to war with Iraq. His address to the nation occurred on on March 19, 2003, and in the 10 years since, we have learned that it contained a lot of false information. In looking back, I see this speech as a simple drum beat to war. A war that we should never have been involved in.
The sound score consists of 13 different drums with each drum representing two letters of the alphabet. The speech was transcribed and the placement of the drums was predetermined by the words used in the speech. The drums (words) were then compressed to sync with the pace and rhythm of President Bush's speaking style.
His voice is audible in the beginning, but then fade as the Drums to War slowly take over his speech. Negating the validity of his words.
