This 30 second spot was for an Intro to Video class, and also to support my friend and the new non-profit she is co-hosting called The Curbside Chronicle. Read more about this street newspaper and all that they are doing to better our city and our neighbors.
The Curbside Chronicle is a street paper dedicated to employing and empowering Oklahoma City’s homeless population. We will achieve this by publishing a general interest magazine and employing homeless individuals to sell it. Vendors purchase the magazines from our organization for $0.25 each and sell them for $1, keeping all profit and tips that they make. This social enterprise model allows us to both sustain our organization and empower our vendors by providing them a hand UP rather than a hand-OUT.
