"It's a one time thing (it just happens... a lot)" is a short dialogue driven tragicomic narrative film (in the vein of mumblecore), written and directed by Nate Merritt, that seeks to explore milennial anxiety and self-destructive behaviours.

Ellie Foreman is a twenty-three year old woman. "She is in a really weird place right now." In the course of this short film she tries to deal with writer's block, losing her job, a missed period, a one-night stand who won't leave her alone, and falling in love with her friend with benefits.
