been modifying a Walkera SpaceWalker for a micro-FPV rig, the AUV is only 100g, I did extend the short legs to be equal to the long legs, so its a proper octo multi-rotor now. it was a bit gusty last night and I ended up landing in a bush, but the little thing battled the wind bravely, after all, its ONLY 100grams.
The VTX is the 5805tx from Walkera undressed, I soldered a new antenna to it which did improve things but still it seems to drop pretty quickly, I use the matching antenna on my FatSharks for flying. the camera is a 2g cam from FPVhobby.com with 120deg lens. I tilt it down to avoid it going black if the sky is bright.
Happy with the SpaceWalker and how it handle. *though the wind do slap it around a bit. :-)
Happy with the camera.. but want a more powerful vtx.
UPDATE - now flying brushless gimbal see the result here vimeo.com/66985973
