Meet 17-year-old harpist Anna DeLoi and learn how she was profoundly changed by her experience with From the Top -- from her radio performance on NPR to her arts leadership training and related experiences. For the past three years, she has been part of From the Top's Center for the Development of Arts Leaders in Boston (CDAL Boston), where she has been placed at the James J. Chittick Elementary School in Mattapan, MA with musiConnects to share the power of music with kindergarten through fourth grade students.
From the Top celebrates the power of music in the hands of extraordinary young musicians. From the Top's education and outreach programs offer valuable support and resources for young musicians as they prepare for multi-faceted careers in the arts, inspire and build new audiences for classical music, and use their talents to make a difference in the lives of others.
In Boston, through From the Top's Center for the Development of Arts Leaders (CDAL Boston), 43 teen musicians have donated more than 4,000 hours of community service to improve the lives of more than 3,000 schoolchildren, seniors, and cancer patients at 7 partner sites using the power of music to empower, inspire, and create positive change.
