This is an installation video originally presented as part of the working, procession, installation and performative space "In The Worshipful Company of Comus".
IWCC was an event consisting in the staging of a temporary working, a procession, an installation and a performative space. The event was a collaborative effort produced, arranged, performed and communed as part of MA in Aural Cultures at Goldsmiths - University of London 2009/2010.
The working was centered around the key event of a (voluntary) kidnapping situation, where the audience of lecture/presentation, under ritual procedure and insignia were blindfolded and escorted to a pre-arranged and all-set venue 20 minutes walk down the street throughout the neighborhood. Throughout the venue there were various installations, objects, performances, film and sound pieces engulfing the spectators for an intense and unpredicted afternoon.
The working was conceived of collectively by 10 individuals over the course of a year.
The workings exorcised some of the inherent polymorph perversions lurking about in the shades of academia.. and beyond.
It was successively realised and engineered throughout the year by group-dynamic processes elaborated on in experimental exercises, dialogues and readings.
