The Lottery League, randomly pairs local musicians from all genres with other musicians with whom they’ve never played with before. The 2013 Lottery League kicked off with “Draft Night” on February 1st at the Beachland Ballroom. Names of the 169 Cleveland area musicians who enlisted in the “draft” were put in a bingo hopper. Names were drawn to create 42 brand new Cleveland area bands. Once these new bands were formed, they’re given just 2 months to meet, create an identity, practice and prepare to perform 10 minutes of original music at the Lottery League Big Show.
Thousands of local music fans attended the Lottery League’s Free “Big Show” at the Cleveland Agora on Saturday, April 13th. All 42 Lottery League 2013 bands performed on three stages of the Cleveland Agora (one of which was our very own “Jakprints Stage”) for the very first time. Jakprints was a proud supporter of Lottery League and musicians everywhere!
