Willing Hearts is a non-profit organization that feeds the poor. However, they're struggling to get volunteers because most people don't have time to help.

So we found people who had time. Using just a social networking account and one hashtag.

On Twitter, people use hashtags to express their feelings. So by searching for #BORED, we found people with so much free time, they're dying for something to do. We replied to their tweets and invited them to beat their boredom by volunteering.

34% of targets responded. And in one month, volunteers grew from 35/day average to 50/day average. That's a 42.8% increase without spending a single cent. All thanks to one hashtag and a bunch of bored people.
