Josh Ingle of Greenpeace describes arriving in the Far Rockaway neighborhood of the New York borough of Queens days after it was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. Working with allies from Occupy Sandy and You Are Not Alone (YANA), Greenpeace volunteers used the bio-diesel powered truck "Rolling Sunlight" and its solar panels to charge residents cell phones, light a food donation and distribution center, and a makeshift medical clinic. Illustrated with photographs by a variety of photographers, the piece provides a snapshot of the help a small solar energy source can provide in a disaster.
