My first shoot and grade with the Blackmagic Cinema camera. I went to Maritime Park in San Francisco Ca. I was aiming for a washed bleach look with the grade. Shooting with the camera wasn't as cumbersome as others made it seem. It took a few minutes to get used to the weight of the camera. Even though its only 3 lbs when you add an external battery like the Switronix PB-70 its about 5 lbs compared to the 2 lbs of my T2i with battery grip. The lcd does produce glare so it can be hard to judge your exposure. A loop would have come in handy, but the lcd hood did help a bit. There was dust on my lens and i couldn't see it while recording, but after i exposed the footage every spec popped up. I guess thats what i get for being lazy. The latitude that 2.5k RAW gives you is incredible. I was frustrated when playing back some of the footage because my highlights were totally blown out, on my T2i the footage would be useless, but in Resolve i was able to bring all the detail back and properly expose the image.
