Found in a barn in Bristol, Maine, this 200 feet of nitrate film from the collections at Northeast Historic Film was nearly overlooked amid a pile of empty reels. No one knows who made this uncanny collage, which references citizens of Madison, Maine. Former NHF Director of Technical Services Sean Savage published a near-definitive study of this amateur compilation film, which can be found in the scholarly journal, The Moving Image (Volume 8, Number 2, Fall 2008 pp. 61-77).
