Long Distance Sleep was created during one of many recorded skype dates between the artist and her partner while living apart in 2013, specifically during a conversation when both parties fell asleep while online. Physically, the piece is a calm emotional landscape and conceptually, a witty one-liner about how technology affects the most banal and sacred moments of intimacy, such as face-to-face conversation or sleeping next to someone.
