Embarrassment and shame kept Natasha from speaking up about her symptoms for years. As a direct result of being without sufficient hormones for so long Natasha developed osteoporosis and a condition called Erosive Lichen Planus.

Her condition was so severe she had to undergo an emergency hysterectomy and vaginectomy. A recent Newspaper article about Natasha’s experience chose to focus attention on her sex life rather than her desire to raise awareness for POI.

Natasha was trolled online by men and women calling for her to ‘treat her husband to a prostitute.’
