A short documentary (filmed January 2013) H.I.S Home for Children, an orphanage and school in Port au Prince, Haiti.
My intention was to capture the most important and informative aspects about the staff, the children, and the quarterly baby formula deliveries that are a part of my sister’s humanitarian efforts.
If this sparks your interest at all, check out the website at hishomeforchildren.com
Here you can sponsor a child, or make donations towards the formula deliveries. Its amazing what can be done with so little.
I owe many thanks to Hal and Chris Nungester, founders of the orphange, as well as the staff and children who gave their time to help express this message. I also owe a big thank you to Samuel Charles Manfred who hosted the interviews and made the translations from Creole to English.
Everything in this film was shot on a Canon Rebel T2i or a GoPro Hero2, and edited with Final Cut Pro.
I do not claim to own the rights to this music. The introduction track is by Lupe Fiasco titled Resurrection.
