Panavia TORNADO GR4 fast jet bomber role demonstration.
The Panavia Tornado was designed as a variable geometry “swing wing” multi-role combat aircraft. This video features the Royal Air Force Tornado GR4 ground attack (bomber) version of the aircraft in the markings of 15(R) Squadron (XV Squadron) Operational Conversion Unit based at RAF Lossiemouth in the north of Scotland.
Tornado GR4 aircraft are powered by two powerful Rolls-Royce RB 199 Mk 103 turbofan engines making them capable of flying supersonic at low level. As well as the ground attack role, the Tornado GR4 is used as a tactical reconnaissance aircraft.
This video shows RAF Tornado GR4 aircraft demonstrating their ground attack role, fast and at low level.
