The brief was to excite a conference-roomful of sales and marketing people about their company's performance the previous year, and rev them up for the new year. While expecting a leisurely montage of graphs, what shone through in the client's brief was a competitive - even aggressive - vibe. This spurred the simple but versatile concept of a boxing match; using flashback sequences to allude to their desired themes of 'past victories' and the value of training, as well as providing a canvas for the sales figures, budgets and glimpses of upcoming campaign pieces.
Together we pulled off a stylish piece with high production values. It was shot with the Sony RED camera, and handheld with a cinematic look.
