Lewis L. Lanier, Ph.D. (AAI '80, president 2006–2007)

Dr. Lewis L. Lanier is Professor and Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Lewis was President of The American Association of Immunologists from 2006 to 2007 and served as an AAI Council member from 2001 to 2006. He was awarded the AAI Distinguished Service Award in 2001.
