“far away inside the city” focuses on the latest YAP project in Santiago de Chile - The Garden of Forking Paths, by Beals & Lyon young architects.
The site of the intervention is found in the Southwest corner of the Parque Araucano, at the highest point on a hill, surrounded by native trees. Its position is inscribed within a perimeter path, and itself implies a certain distance and discovery of the park and the city.
The YAP - Young Architects Program is an annual collaboration between The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1 that fosters innovative design research and promotes emerging talent. More info at moma.org/yap
