“The Cosmic Pattern”
UK, 2013, 2 min
A film by Stu McCardle
A co-production between KnockKnock & Creature of London.

Stu is the Head of Video at KnockKnock Productions.
With a strong interest in documentary, last year Stu finished filming “Charles Bradley: Soul of America”, a feature length documentary shot
in America. After premiering to popular acclaim at SXSW 2012 in Austin, and on the international film festival circuit, it is being released April 2013.

"With the "The Cosmic Stripe", I drew big inspiration from Carl Sagan, as well as the look and feel of early educational films.
The concept of 'the grand stripe' came in to me in a daydream whilst making the music that features in the film, and within minutes I had written the script.
Whilst intending a pastiche, and a parody of sorts, I also wanted to keep the sincerity of this idea intact."
