He stands, breathing, skin touching air; thoughtfully carving his way through space.
Performed inside a delicately shifting web of filament, Ellipsis evokes visceral responses across the senses. Armed with wireless headphones, you are invited into an immersive experience, where pre-recorded and live sounds meld into an aural cocoon.
Critically acclaimed and nominated for 2012 Adelaide Fringe ‘Best Dance’, Ellipsis inhabits the spaces between thoughts, time and light.
Intricate. Gentle. Immersive.
Premiering at the 2012 Adelaide Fringe Festival, Ellipsis debuted to an overwhelming response, being nominated for ‘Best Dance Work’, receiving a 5 star review in the major paper, and subsequently garnering an invitation to the 2012 AvignonOFF festival in France.
Ellipsis returned to it’s home town, Melbourne, where it was selected as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival Hub venue program, also being selected for the OutsideEye (professional mentoring) and TourReady (touring initiative) programs.
