Part of the documentation for my ongoing art piece, The Pink Slip Project, currently in Brattleboro Museum's exhibition, 'Hot Pot: A Taste of Contemporary Chinese Art.' This video shows me preparing some of the artifacts for the installation, the outdoor installation, and then views of visitors to the indoor installation at the Museum. The 'pink slip' bowls are made with a papier mache of shredded 'pink slip' documents using traditional Chinese rice paste. Each pink slip garment was sewn by me and then sewn into the arrangement that is installed outside the Museum. The performance artist, painted by Lauryn Welch, to camouflage with the exhibit was an unexpected surprise (thank you, Lauryn and friends) at the opening event.
