This is the story of Meta-the-Difference-Between-the-Two-Font-4-D. Its predecessor, called ‘MetaFont’, was designed in 1979 by professor Donald Knuth. His software let users generate unlimited numbers of fonts by controlling a limited set of parameters. MetaFont was created to harness the essential ‘intelligence’ of letterforms.
How to keep things moving?
