This is a short film that I made for a Film Noir project. It is about Muncie, Indiana, a place where most kids walk around looking for their stuff and their friends after long nights that result in getting locked out.
My idea was to tell a story in real time with minimal cuts. Unfortunately, that was way too boring, so I cut it up quite a bit. Coloring was an experiment.
Remarkably, this was filmed in 8 shots. I wrote the music for the credits and for the scene in which I shoot out of the back of my SUV. It was a lot of fun, and that's what I think counts.
PS I know nothing "really happens" in this short film, but that's sort of the point.
